Game Preview: Rox look to sweep, Anderson to rebound

Any time you are looking to sweep a division opponent, its a good thing. When that division opponent also threw a baseball at your star player in spring training and then defended it behind some kind of silly "grit" nonsense, it is an even better thing. When a new young pitcher who wants badly to find his way into the good graces of Rockies fans is making his debut at Coors Field in purple pin stripes, it is a super awesome thing.

When the Rockies platoon properly? Priceless

Drew Stubbs get the start in center field with a lefty (Wade Miley) on the hill for the D-Backs. No reason to move Charlie Blackmon out of the lead-off spot (hitting .600 on the season) so Stubbs will bat seventh. Blackmon moves to right field.

Justin Morneau gets the day off against the lefty and Michael Cuddyer takes his place at first base, giving the Rockies a lineup of all right handed bats except Blackmon and Carlos Gonzalez.

Brett Anderson makes his home debut with the Rockies and it will be interesting to see how his off speed stuff plays at Coors Field. The Diamondbacks are no doubt frustrated with their lack of success lately and are hungry to put some runs on the board. Hopefully Anderson can use their aggressiveness against them and keep them off balance all day.
