After a disheartening loss last night, the Rockies had to make a quick trip home to welcome back Eric Young Jr. and the New York Mets to Coors Field. Jay Tymkovich did a break down of what to expect from this series' opponent here that explains why they are better than last year but still the Mets.
Juan Nicasio will be starting for the Rockies, looking to improve on his last start where he couldn't make it through five innings while giving up five runs. Opposing him will be Bartolo Colon who is 2-3 with a 4.50 ERA on the season with his fifth team in six years. In his lone start against the Rockies in the last three years he got the win despite giving up five runs in five innings...lots of fives in this paragraph.
It will be interesting to see if the Rockies' bats will heat up even more now that they are back home. They are first in runs, batting average, and slugging percentage while being third in on base percentage. Without further ado, here are your lineups-
