As Jordan Freemyer wrote earlier today, the Colorado Rockies again seek to win their first sweep of the season today in their sixth try.  This time it will be Franklin Morales taking the hill for the Rockies while the Rangers use their third left-handed starter of the series in Matt Harrison.

Morales is trying to recover from arguably his worst start of the season last Saturday when he gave up six runs in five innings of a come-from-behind win over the Mets.  Franklin will be the second in back-to-back southpaw starters for the Rockies against a Rangers team that led the majors in batting against lefties coming into the series.

This will be Matt Harrison's third start of the season and he is still seeking a decision of any type while holding a respectable 4.35 ERA.  The Rockies will seek to continue their offensive onslaught (word of the week) with a right handed heavy lineup that has Charlie Blackmon leading off and Carlos Gonzalez filling the designated hitter role as the only two left handed batters.

As Jordan stated in his article referenced above, the lack of sweeps is confounding and I blame the enemies' familiarity with our bullpen by the last game as a large factor in what he shows as an ERA for the relievers that doubles in final games of a series.  If this is true, then the Rockies should not use Chris Martin or Nick Masset who the Rangers have already seen twice this series.

Based on the past three games and the Rockies' inability to sweep, I am guessing a 2-1 loss is in order.  Hopefully the Rockies will prove me wrong.  Here are the lineups:

1. Charlie Blackmon (L) LF

2. Nolan Arenado (R) 3B

3. Troy Tulowitzki (R) SS

4. Carlos Gonzalez (L) DH

5. Drew Stubbs (R) CF

6. Justin Morneau (L) 1B

7. Brandon Barnes (R) RF

8. Jordan Pacheco (R) C

9. DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B

1. Shin-Soo Choo (L) DH

2. Michael Choice (R) LF

3. Adrian Beltre (R) 3B

4. Prince Fielder (L) 1B

5. Alex Rios (R) RF

6. Leonys Martin (L) CF

7. Elvis Andrus (R) SS

8. Rougned Odor (L) 2B

9. Robinson Chirinos (R) C
