Game 74: Peralta vs. Friedrich

As if Friedrich wasn't enough, Wilton Lopez has been spotted at the ballpark today.

It has come to this: Christian Friedrich, owner of a 6.17 ERA in Triple-A is making his season debut for the big club. It was never supposed to be this way. The Rockies buried Friedrich well down the pitching depth chart. No 12 in fact, but this year's injuries to the rotation have allowed him to make today's start.

He will face off against Willy Peralta, who owns a 2.98 ERA this season.

Needless to say, the Rockies have their work cut out in this one.
