The Rockies will sit three lefties on the bench tonight against Pirates southpaw Jeff Locke, who has held opponents to a .342 OPS this season left-on-left.
Carlos Gonzalez, Corey Dickerson and Ben Paulsen will all be on the bench tonight, with Brandon Barnes, Drew Stubbs and Wilin Rosario taking their spots.
Yes, Wilin Rosario will be making his sixth career start at first base tonight and second of the 2014 season, while Mike McKenry starts at catcher.
Tyler Matzek will make his ninth start of the season for the Rockies, and will probably look a bit ridiculous in high socks, I can't imagine that looking good on him. As for actual pitching performance, he has a 4.91 ERA in 47 2/3 innings this year with 15 walks and 32 strikeouts.

UPDATE: Courtesy of The Denver Post's Nick Groke on Carlos Gonzalez.
Carlos Gonzalez was scratched from the #Rockies lineup because he sprained his right ankle today. It's swollen.
