Rockies lose 4-3: Would you believe me if I told you the bullpen blew it?

Boone Logan is still bad, and the offense couldn't do anything besides a big Corey Dickerson swing. Same *%#% different day.

Another boring game resulting in a Rockies loss. It almost looked like they would win it, as Corey Dickerson launched a three run home run on a hanging curve ball in the sixth inning to put the Rockies up by a score of 3-1. But that would be a short lived lead.

Jordan Lyles worked 5.1 innings, and battled his command in the first inning. He walked three in the frame, but thanks to a double play and a strikeout got out with no damage done. In the fourth Yonder Alonso homered, but other than that Lyles was solid enough.

Despite that, Lyles was yanked in the sixth inning with one out and a runner on first. Now, I'm not saying Lyles is Felix Hernandez. But you know what? He ain't Matt Belisle either. Belisle promptly gave up a hit and a walk to let the runner on first in. If you want to keep runners from scoring, you don't put in Belisle. That's just baseball 101.

So what? 3-2 Rockies at that point. Surely the Rockies bullpen could hold the crappy Padres lineup scoreless, in suppressive Petco Park. Hahaha no.

Boone Logan came in in the seventh and promptly gave up a single and a home run. Kudos to the Rockies biggest free agent signing of the off season. Good job. Typical.

Business as usual. The Rockies struck out for all six outs in the 8th and 9th. Couldn't even put it in play. Big ol' bummer of a game. Hope you didn't watch it.
