Answer: Never
Question: When is it good for Yohan Flande to pitch for the Colorado Rockies so far this year?
A journeyman minor-leaguer for eight years before this season, Yohan Flande has started six games for the Colorado Rockies this year and pitched once in relief. The Rockies have not won one of these games including three games against the third worst team in the National League. While he hasn't necessarily been much worse than many of the other pitchers thrown out there this year as far as earned runs, he has not been able to bring a win home for the team.
In today's game the Cubs manufactured runs in the second and third against Yohan and then Justin Morneau doubled home Charlie Blackmon to make it a small 2-1 deficit through five innings. However, Yohan gave up back-to-back home runs to start the sixth and the Rockies could not mount a come back after that.
While the Rockies were able to get an RBI single from Corey Dickerson in the sixth, they only had one base runner in the final three frames. Javier Baez hit his second home run of the game and third of the season, all against the Rockies, in the eighth inning to give the final score of 6-2.
Justin Morneau and Wilin Rosario were the only Rockies to get two hits on the day while Morneau and Corey Dickerson had the only two RBIs for an offense that is running hot or cold of late.
