This could be Jorge De La Rosa's last start of the season. The Rockies have not yet announced a starter for Sunday, and although De La Rosa could start that game on normal rest, it wouldn't be his turn in the rotation. So we'll see.
If he didn't sign an extension earlier this month, this could have been his last start ever in a Rockies uniform. Thankfully though, we don't have to worry about that. Let's hope he finishes the season strong.
If he want's a win, he's going to have to pitch brilliantly as the Rockies have scored more than two runs in just one of their last 13 road games.
Meanwhile, the Rockies have loaded their lineup with righties to counter the southpaw the Padres have on the mound. This means both Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson will start the night on the bench. However, the one place you you will find a lefty for the Rockies (besides on the mound) is at first base with Justin Morneau. For those still complaining about Kyle Parker not getting much playing time at this point, it's pretty obvious the Rockies want to start him in Triple-A next season and are only using this opportunity to acclimate him to big league life and not big league pitching.
GOOOOOOOOO ROOOOOCCCCKKKKIIIEEESSSS!!!!
