Kyle Kendrick will make his 27th and likely final start in a Colorado Rockies uniform as they open a three-game series tonight against the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park.

Kendrick, whom the Rockies acquired to eat innings in a rebuilding year, has pitched 136⅓ innings in 2015 with a 6.54 ERA and 1.55 WHIP, walking 44 and striking out 74 while allowing 33 home runs

He will face a Giants lineup tonight that only features four regular starters among the eight position players, though among them are Buster Posey, who plays first base and bats cleanup, and Angel Pagan, who will be in his traditional leadoff spot, playing center field.

The other two regulars in action for the Giants tonight are third baseman  Matt Duffy and shortstop Brandon Crawford.

On the mound for San Francisco is right-hander Chris Heston, who has a 3.62 ERA in 174 innings over the course of 30 starts this season. Four of those starts came against the Rockies, against whom he has a 5.70 ERA in 23⅔ innings, though he did allow just two runs, one earned, in seven innings in his lone start against Colorado at AT&T Park.

Heston will face a Rockies lineup with only a pair of changes from the Opening Day starting nine, with Dustin Garneau catching and Daniel Descalso at second base batting seventh and eighth, respectively.

First pitch tonight is at 8:15 p.m. Mountain time.
