Happy Thanksgiving!

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Thanksgiving, Purple Row! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. I know I speak for the rest of the staff when I say I'm very grateful for having the opportunity to interact with you fine folks here on the Row, so thanks for being great!

A comprehensive list of all of the things baseball fans have to be thankful for this year — MLB

Speaking of mouthfuls, check out that article heading. Calling this "comprehensive" is a stretch and a half, especially considering we have no mention of the greatness that is Nolan Arenado's glove. As Rockies fans, what are y'all thankful for?

There are reasons for all clubs to be thankful — MLB

This list gets it, though. Nolan gets a well-deserved shout-out for his third Gold Glove and first Silver Slugger. He truly is the new face of the franchise and I'm stoked to see him play again next season. In a season of a lot of negatives for the Rockies, Nolan is truly a bright point.

Schemmel pedals across U.S. for good cause — MLB

Harding reports on what Schemmel is thankful for in his life and how he's working to give even more.

Axford a free agent after clearing waivers — MLB

We mentioned this yesterday, but here's MLB's article on Axford clearing waivers after being DFA'd.

Rex Brothers traded by Rockies to Cubs for teen prospect — Denver Post

Here's Groke's take on the Brothers trade, which sees 18-year-old Wander Cabrera coming the Rockies' way.

Colorado Rockies need to hold on to Carlos Gonzalez — BSN Denver

Personally, I'm of the opinion the Rockies should trade CarGo. His value is probably about the highest it will be and I really don't think the Rockies contention window will be open before 2017. I don't see him being able to contribute to the window any longer than a year before his contract is up. BSN, however, thinks the Rox should keep him to build around.
