Jon Gray will make his fifth spring training appearance and second spring start of 2015 this afternoon as the Rockies take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
He will be backed up in the field by a lineup that includes Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, Justin Morneau and Nolan Arenado, who will hit second through fifth in the order. There is also an interesting twist in the Rockies order today, with the pitcher Gray hitting eighth and second baseman Rafael Ynoa hitting ninth.
Gray will face a Milwaukee lineup that features most of the Brewers' regular starters, with only first baseman Adam Lind and catcher Jonathan Lucroy not in the lineup. Gray is expected to about four innings or 60 pitches today according to The Denver Post's Patrick Saunders.
