After losing the second game of a two game set to the Diamondbacks, the Rockies will head to Tempe to face the home team Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Rockies struggled against the Diamondbacks, going for 4 for 25 (.160) with runners in scoring position. While the majority of the lineup is made up of probable minor leaguers, we still hope to see better results over the next few days.
Kyle Kendrick, who the Rockies signed this offseason, will make his Rockies debut against the Angels today. Kendrick has spent his entire eight year career in Philadelphia, winning 74 games with an ERA of 4.42 while throwing at least 152 innings in five of those eight years. Kendrick will likely pitch two innings and will try to make a good impression, but he has to pitch against the likes of Mike Trout and Albert Pujols.
The Rockies will be facing the ace of the Angels staff, Jered Weaver. Weaver had a strong 2014, going 18-9 with a 3.59 ERA over 213.1 innings. Weaver has only faced Colorado one time in his career, going seven innings and allowing two runs.

The Rockies roll out their third lineup of spring without Charlie Blackmon, who is experiencing abdominal pain. Since it is spring training, it is not too alarming to not see him playing, but it will definitely be something to keep an eye on over the next few days.
There will be no broadcast from the Rockies today, but you can catch the Angels broadcast on MLB.TV or Gameday Audio.
