Colorado Rockies look to Kyle Kendrick for third road series win of the 2015

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Rockies hung on Monday night behind Tyler Matzek and look to veteran starter Kyle Kendrick on Tuesday, aiming for continued dominance on the road.

Kendrick thus far has one excellent start, two bad ones, and his most recent perfectly acceptable seven inning, four run performance at Coors Field against the Padres. He brings a 6.85 ERA into tonight's game.

The Rockies will throw out mostly the same lineup as last night, but with Nick Hundley instead of Michael McKenry, which makes it essentially the default starting lineup.

Hopefully, the Rockies will look to continue their new-found patience, especially that exhibited by stars Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez, the latter of whom appears to be emerging from a lengthy slumber ever since being moved to the sixth spot in the lineup.

Best hitter in baseball, DJ LeMahieu, bats eighth.

The Rockies received a bit of bad news today concerning stud closer Adam Ottavino, so how the team responds emotionally -- and how the bullpen responds in terms of on-field production -- is a story-line to keep an eye on this evening.

I'll put the over/under at 1.5 for spectacular web gems from the Coors Shield tonight.
