Arizona Diamondbacks 12, Colorado Rockies 5: Kyle Kendrick tagged for 8 runs in loss

It looked like a loss after seven pitches when Kyle Kendrick had already given up three runs. Two runs came in on a triple from Mark Trumbo who would later hit a mammoth home run.

Kendrick would settle down for a few innings and the Rockies would have the game tied by the top of the fourth, but Kyle simply was not sharp and he would be tagged for five more runs in the next two half-innings.

To quote Drew Goodman, "It was an ugly night at the office for the Colorado Rockies."

There was a scary moment in the top of the first inning when Carlos Gonzalez drilled a 115 mph line-drive off the face of pitcher Archie Bradley. Thankfully, he was able to walk off the field of his own accord, though he was sporting quite the welt on the side of his face. The come-backer to the mound is the scariest play in sports and the only humane way to react to something like that is to hope that Bradley is okay and can return to full health.

On the bright side for the Rockies, Charlie Blackmon went 3-5 with two RBI and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. Justin Morneau went
