If the Colorado Rockies are going to surprise anyone in any way in 2015, they are going to need some of their young pitchers to take big steps forward. One of those young pitchers, Jordan Lyles, gets the ball today after bearing witness to the best opening day performance in Rockies history.
Lyles started 2014 strong and ended the year with a 4.33 ERA, which really isn't bad for a Rockies pitcher (Coors Field) but he believes he is better than that and today begins his quest in proving that.
The Rockies will be throwing out the exact same lineup that hung 10 runs on the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday. The fact that this lineup has Corey Dickerson batting all the way down at sixth is hilarious and frightening. Look to see if Justin Morneau, the only big bat to not get in on the action yesterday, gets something going today.
#Rockies figure never give up on a good thing. Save for pitcher, same lineup today. http://t.co/CX3VnD8flc pic.twitter.com/d2ksTeWoj8
