The Colorado Rockies (13-20) take on the Los Angeles Dodgers (23-13) today at Dodger Stadium. The team has gotten back on track a bit after a brutal streak of losses, and they will look to take the series this afternoon.
Kyle Kendrick takes the hill for the Rockies and will try to build off of his last outing in which he went seven innings and allowed just two runs, no walks, and whiffed five. Kendrick hasn't issued a walk in either of his last two starts, and it'll be interesting to see if he's able to limit the free passes tonight as it's been a huge problem for the Rockies this year. He's been able to go seven innings in three starts this year in what were all fine performances. Kendrick's other starts, however, have been downright awful. Who knows what version we'll get today, but let's just cross our fingers that it's the one that goes seven innings, because the other version of Kendrick is one that gets blown up.
Mike Bolsinger will be Kendrick's opposite, who will be making is third start for the Dodgers. In each of his previous two outings, Bolsinger has gone 5.2 innings while allowing just one run and owns an ERA of 1.59. The last time Bolsinger faced the Rockies, however, was with the D-backs when he allowed four runs in five innings. Let's hope for more of the same today.
