Colorado Rockies look to even the series against the Philadelphia Phillies

The Rockies will once again attempt to avoid another losing streak.

The Rockies look to even up the series tonight after a heartbreaking 4-3 loss last night.

Chad Bettis will take the mound for the second time this year after making his 2015 MLB debut last week. He pitched five innings and allowed four runs while striking out three and walking four.

Rockies pitchers have looked good the last three games, only allowing a total of six earned runs. Part of that success is due to the fact that they have struck out 13 batters and have only walked 4 over those games. A trend the Rockies hope to see continue.

Aaron Harang will take the mound for the Phillies, and he's been surprisingly good this year. Harang has an ERA of 2.03 over eight starts this year and is striking out hitters almost four times more than he's walking them. The Phillies got Harang for 500K cheaper than the Rockies got Kyle Kendrick. Because... Rockies.

Like most pitchers, Harang doesn't have great numbers at Coors Field. But with the Rockies luck, he's likely going to dominate tonight. Just read these replies to my tweet earlier from Russ Oates and Travis Ritchie:

Let's hope they're both wrong.

Just before tonight's game it was announced that Corey Dickerson would be hitting the 15-day disabled list with plantar fasciitis and Ben Paulsen would be called up from Triple-A Albuquerque to take his spot. He will not be starting but is available to come into the game tonight if needed.

Tonight's lineup:
