The Rock Cats could not produce enough offense to make a strong start from pitcher Matt Flemer stand up in a 3-2 loss to Harrisburg. Flemer allowed just one unearned run on five hits in his six innings of work, and drove in a run of his own in the fifth to tie the game at 1-1. Harrison Musgrave was dominant in the Modesto Nuts 2-0 victory over the Visalia Rawhide at John Thurman Field on Monday afternoon.
Musgrave allowed just a hit and a walk in seven shutout innings with 10 strikeouts. Left fielder Raimel Tapia (No. 5 PuRP) provided all the offense the Nuts would need with a solo home run, his fifth of the season, in the third and shortstop Zach Osborne provided insurance with an RBI single in the seventh.
