Colorado Rockies kick off their homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks

The Rockies kick off a six game homestand tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies are coming off an abysmal road trip where they went 1-5, featuring three losses by more than seven runs.

Tyler Matzek, who currently has an ERA of 2.70, pitched five excellent innings in his last start in Arizona, allowing two runs while striking out three and walking three. Matzek likely would have pitched another inning that game, but was taken out early due to a hamstring injury. It looks like it was a minor injury, but it's definitely something to keep eye tonight.

Troy Tulowitzki and Justin Morneau will return to the lineup after having the day off yesterday. Tulowitzki will hit second while Morneau hits fifth. Another interesting move, but not uncommon from Walt Weiss this season, is the pitcher Tyler Matzek hitting in the eighth spot while DJ LeMahieu hits ninth.

The Diamondbacks will counter with soft-throwing Josh Collmenter who threw eight dominant innings against the Rockies last week.

NL Player of the Week Paul Goldschmidt will hit third for Arizona. Goldschmidt is hitting .356 with six home runs and 22 RBI's on the season.

Tonight's game will be rainy one, so be prepared for possible rain delays.
