Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks postponed for the second straight night

Rain, rain, go away.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

For the second night in a row, the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks have been postponed due to rain. As of right now, the game tonight is scheduled to be made up tomorrow as part of a traditional doubleheader starting at 1:10 PM MDT. Scheduled pitching matchups for tomorrow stay the same with Tyler Matzek vs. Josh Collmenter in game one and Jordan Lyles vs. Robbie Ray in game two. Of course, all of this comes with a caveat as there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow as well, so actually getting two games in may not be realistic.

Unfortunately, this is something Rockies fans will probably have to get used to for the rest of the week. After tomorrow, which has a 60% chance of rain according to The Weather Channel, the forecast gets even worse. Thursday has an 80% chance of rain and Friday through Sunday all have a 90% chance of rain. With one makeup game already scheduled for May 23rd against the San Francisco Giants and game one of this series tentatively scheduled to be made up in September, things could be getting very interesting for the Rockies as they try to figure out how to get all 162 games played. I'd imagine that the club will try to squeeze in at least a few games this week, but with the way the forecast looks, it would be very surprising if they manage to get them all in.

If nothing else, at least we got a fun Twitter exchange out of it:

Here's hoping we get to see some baseball tomorrow!
