Chad Bettis will take the mound against one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, Dallas Keuchel.
Bettis will try to bounce back after a short outing last Wednesday. Bettis didn't have his best stuff in that start against St. Louis, throwing 91 pitches and only getting through five innings while allowing three earned runs. There will be a lot of new faces for Bettis, as the only hitter he's pitched to in this lineup is Evan Gattis, who's had one hit in four at-bats against Bettis.
Keuchel has been dominant this year. With a record of 7-2 and an ERA of 1.90, he's making his case for the Cy Young award. Nick Hundley and Michael McKenry are the only two in the lineup to have faced Keuchel in the past, with Hundley going 0-for-3 and McKenry going 2-5 with one double.
The Rockies will counter Keuchel with a right-handed heavy lineup, with the only lefty being Charlie Blackmon who is hitting ninth. Rafael Ynoa will get the start in place of Corey Dickerson, who is out for the second straight game after re-aggravating his foot injury.
Tonight's game kicks off a four-game set against the Astros, with two games being on the road and two games being at home.
