Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa is listed as day-to-day after leaving Thursday's game with a cut on his left middle finger, according to the team.
The cut is being described as "small" but that likely won't stop the ever-growing sea of voices -- now including my own -- calling for top prospect Jon Gray to get his chance to pitch in the big leagues should there be a need for any kind of DL stint upon further examination.
He left the game after pitching five innings, giving up four hits abd one earned run, walking three and striking out three.
Make sure to stay tuned to Purple Row for all news, notes, and updates on the matter and the inevitable news that he will probably be having the finger removed and replaced with robotics or something. Or there is an alien cheetoh in there. Y'know ... Rockies things.
