DJ LeMahieu went 3-for-4 and Corey Dickerson added two knocks for the Colorado Rockies, who compiled six extra-base hits in a 7-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
LeMahieu, who also went 3-for-4 with a walk on Monday, got the Rockies on the board with an RBI double in the first inning. He later scored on a double off the bat of Nolan Arenado as part of a four-run first inning for Colorado.
Dickerson, Ben Paulsen, Nick Hundley and Daniel Descalso -- the starter at shortstop in place of the departed Troy Tulowitzki -- also knocked in runs for the Rockies. The Rockies have now scored at least six runs in six of their last eight games.
The previously red-hot Carlos Gonzalez went 0-for-4 with two strikeout. He was the only Colorado position player not to get a hit.
Spot starter Yohan Flande pitched well in five innings, holding the Cubs to a run on four hits and three walks. He struck out four and, probably more importantly for him, earned his first big league victory. Justin Miller, who was called up before the game to replace LaTroy Hawkins in the bullpen, didn't allow a baserunner and struck out three batters in two innings of work.
Former Rockie Dexter Fowler led the Cubs with three hits and Jorge Soler added two. Chicago starter Dallas Beeler was roughed up for four runs on four hits and three walks in just an inning and a third.
