Isotopes Sweep Bid Comes Up Short In 5-4 Loss | Albuquerque Isotopes News
Memphis took the early momentum after a four-run fourth inning, but Albuquerque managed to battle back beginning with an RBI single from Cristhian Adames in the fifth inning to cut it to 4-1. Jeremy Barfield added a two-run double in the sixth to cut the lead to 4-3, but the Redbirds answered with a single tally in the home half the inning. Trevor Story cut the Isotopes deficit back to one when he scored on Roger Bernadina's groundout in the seventh, making it 5-4. Albuquerque managed to load the bases with two outs in the ninth, but a ground out ended the game.
Adames is hitting .395 over his last ten games bringing his season OPS up to .805.
Starter Eddie Butler was dominant in the first three innings and in the fifth but got into some trouble in the fourth aided by some poor defense behind him. He surrendered four runs, though only two of them earned and one of those came in on an infield single. He gave up four hits, walked one batter and struck out three in five innings.

Tinoco Helps T's Snap Skid In 6-0 Shutout of Kannapolis | Asheville Tourists News
Jesus Tinoco (3-0, 1.17) was exactly what the Asheville Tourists needed on Tuesday night. The right-hander spun six innings of shutout baseball against the Kannapolis Intimidators and helped lead Asheville to a 6-0 win. The shutout was the ninth the Tourists have tossed this season.
Max White gave the Tourists an early lead with an RBI double off the centerfield wall in the second inning. After White stole third and Robbie Perkins walked, the two executed a double-steal to make the score 2-0. Kannapolis' starter, Thad Lowry (11-7, 4.30), ran into trouble again in the fourth. Shane Hoelscher singled to begin the inning and Dom Nunez followed with a double. Yonathan Daza then came to the plate with runners at second and third and Daza delivered with a two-run double. Later in the inning White scored Daza with a sacrifice fly.
Tinoco continued to cruise for the home team. He finished with six innings, three hits, no runs, and eight strikeouts. James Lomangino entered for Asheville in the seventh and went the rest of the way. Lomangino struck out three and surrendered only one hit en route to his second save of the season.
Tinoco has started four games for the Tourists and pitched 23 innings since coming over in the Tulo trade. He is sporting a 1.17 ERA and a 10.17 K/9 ratio and a walk rate of under two batters per nine innings.
Oh, and Dom Nunez continues to spank the second half like a very bad monkey. He still has an OPS over 1.000 in the second half.

Will Swanner and Zach Osborn played the heroes, each grabbing a pair of hits and RBI.
Osborn has quietly put up a 114 wRC+ (.318 batting average) in 28 games at the Double-A level.
Matt Flemer tossed six innings, giving up two runs on five hits. He walked three and struck out four.

Four Homers Crack Nuts in 6-4 Loss | Modesto Nuts News
Kyle Freeland surrendered four homers in the Modesto Nuts 6-4 loss against the Visalia Rawhide on Tuesday night at Recreation Park. Daniel Palka put the Rawhide (73-48; 31-20) on the board first with a two-run shot in the first. After the Nuts (62-59; 29-22) took a one-run lead in the second, Alex Glenn cracked a solo homer to tie the game. The Nuts took another lead in the sixth before Kevin Cron clubbed the go-ahead, two-run shot that gave the Rawhide the lead for good. Tyler Baker added a solo shot in the seventh. Freeland (L, 1-1) went seven innings and allowed six runs on nine hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
This was Kyle Freeland's first rough outing as a professional and hopefully something he can learn from. It happens to everybody.
Raimel Tapia drew two walks to go with a two-run single, proving that he does have that tool in his bag as well.

Grand Junction only left three men on base, but were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. After Great Falls took the lead with a run in the second inning, Bobby Stahel tied the game when he brought home Elvin Paulino in the third with a sacrifice fly, but the Voyagers regained the lead with a four spot in the bottom of the inning, taking advantage of three walks, two wild pitches and an error after two of the first the hitters of the inning doubled. The teams traded runs in the seventh. Stahel, Chris Keck, Tyler Nevin and Paulino accounted for the Rockies hits. Anthony Brito had his 9-game hit streak come to an end, but he did bring home a run. Mike Nikorak surrendered five runs, three earned, in 2.2 innings, but the bullpen trio of Gavin Glanz, Christian Talley, and Dakota Behr held the Voyagers to a run in 5.1 innings.

Hawks Outshine Emeralds 5-4 | Boise Hawks News
Dylan Craig received his first professional baseball start for the Hawks and quickly loaded the bases in the first inning but escaped after giving up just one run. The Emeralds added another run in the second on a Frandy De La Rosa RBI double before the Hawks erupted in the third inning for a two-out rally that produced five runs. Carlos Herrera got things going with a single before Jensen Park and Hamlet Marte ripped a pair of RBI singles
. The Hawks then loaded the bases and Wilkyns Jimenez smacked a two-run single. Marcos Derkes tacked on another RBI single and the Hawks took a 5-2 lead. The Emeralds added runs in the fifth and sixth innings and put the tying run on second base in the top of the ninth but Craig Schlitter slammed the door and sent the Hawks home victorious.
