Jordan Patterson's three-run home run -- his sixth blast of the year -- was the biggest blow in a New Britain win. Mike Tauchman also grabbed two hits and Matt Flemer drove in a couple of runs to help his own cause.
Flemer pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up three runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out three.
Sam Moll pitched a perfect inning, continuing his scoreless streak that has lasted his entire ten inning. tenure with New Britain.

Fast Start Propels Asheville to 13-1 Win | Asheville Tourists News
Asheville hammered out 11 runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to a 13-1 win over Rome. The 11-run total is the most runs Asheville has scored in an individual inning all year. Alec Grosser was a last minute fill-in for the Braves who originally planned to start Touki Toussant. Grosser was not ready for what was waiting for him. Omar Carrizales walked to begin the game and promptly scored on a Forrest Wall two-run Home Run.
Shane Hoelscher walked and scored on a Roberto Ramos double. Max White singled in Ramos, stole second, stole third, and scored on a Cesar Galvez RBI single. After Josh Fuentes was hit by a pitch, Ryan Stephens doubled home Galvez. Carrizales came back to the plate and singled in Fuentes. Wall added a sacrifice fly and after Hoelscher and Dom Nunez each reached, Ramos cleared the bases with a double. The Tourists added one more in the third and another in the sixth when Nunez launched his 10th Home Run of the year. Rome had no answer for Jesus Tinoco who picked up his fourth win of the season by tossing five shutout innings. Tinoco lowered his season ERA to 0.96 through five starts.
All ten of Nunez' home runs have come in the second half as part of a .344/.452/.620 outburst.

Isotopes Start Slow In 9-2 Loss To OKC | Albuquerque Isotopes News
After two quick outs in the top of the first, Oklahoma City strung together four straight hits, including two doubles, to take a two-run lead. The Dodgers added a solo homer in the second to go up 3-0 and never looked back. After single runs in the sixth and seventh, OKC prospect Corey Seager belted a two-out grand slam in the eighth to cap their nine-run night. Back-to-back doubles by Tim Smalling and Tim Wheeler in the bottom of the eighth led to the Isotopes only two runs of the evening.
Eddie Butler pitched seven innings, giving up five runs on nine hits. He struck out four and walked two. Tyler Matzek pitched a clean inning with a strike out.

Big Third Gives Nuts Eighth Straight Loss | Modesto Nuts News
A seven-run third sent the Modesto Nuts to a 9-1 loss against the Stockton Ports on Sunday night at John Thurman Field. In the third, the Ports (65-61; 27-29) sent 12 to the plate and came up with eight hits while knocking the Nuts' (62-63; 29-27) starter Kyle Freeland (L, 1-2) out of the game. Freeland retired the first seven he faced before loading the bases with one out in the decisive third. Melvin Mercedes cracked a sac fly before the Ports rattled off six straight two-out hits. The lone run for the Nuts scored when Emerson Jimenez led the third off with a triple before scoring on Drew Weeks RBI groundout.
Rough day also for Ryan McMahon who went 0-for-4 with three strike outs.

Hawks Grounded by Canadians, Fall 7-2 | Boise Hawks News
The game was scoreless heading into the bottom of the third before the Canadians got on the board first with a leadoff double by Connor Panas against Jack Wynkoop (2-3, 4.66) to open up the inning. After a sacrifice bunt by Andrew Guillotte, Ryan Metzler singled to score Panas and make it 1-0. The Hawks answered in the top of the 4th on an RBI single by Tyler Follis to score Nate Causey and knot the score at one a piece against Vancouver's Francisco Rios. Vancouver responded in the bottom of the fifth inning as four Canadians singles, coupled with two Hawks errors, led to three runs for the home team, and Vancouver retook the lead 4-1. Terry McClure put the final tally on the board for the Hawks in the top of the sixth.
Kevin Padlo hit a double and drew two walks.

Jones, Anderson homer, but Rockies lose | Grand Junction Rockies News
Cole Anderson and Mylz Jones hit 2-run homers, but it wasn't enough as the Grand Junction Rockies lost to the Idaho Falls Chukars Sunday afternoon at Suplizio Field 11-7. Anderson's home run came in the eighth inning, and it capped a 3-hit day. Jones' long ball got the Rockies on the board in the third. It was his only hit, but he walked three times.

Isotopes Walk Off Dodgers 5-4 | Albuquerque Isotopes News
Oklahoma City struck first with a solo homer in the second, but Albuquerque quickly responded with a two-spot in the home half of the inning to take the lead. Tommy Murphy singled in Wilin Rosario after his leadoff double, and Tim Wheeler then doubled in Murphy to put the Topes on top 2-1.
The Dodgers managed to tie the game back up at two in the fourth, but the Isotopes again answered with a two-out RBI double by Rafael Ynoa in the bottom of the fourth to retake the lead 3-2. Oklahoma City put together a pair of doubles in the sixth to push two runs across for a 4-3 lead. The Isotopes did not rally until Wilin Rosario's leadoff home run in the bottom of the eighth to tie it at four. Cristhian Adames then led off the bottom of the ninth with a double and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt. After an intentional walk, Angelys Nina dribbled a ball to the shortstop who couldn't throw out Adames at the plate.
Miguel Castro earned his first win since joining the Isotopes. He pitched the final two innings, striking out two and walking one without allowing a hit. He has allowed two runs in his first nine innings with Albuquerque.

Jordan Patterson went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and a run scored in a game in which no Rock Cat recorded an RBI. The double was his 15th in 35 games since being promoted to Double-A, the stolen base his eighth.
Mike Tauchman hit three singles on the day.
Jeff Hoffman pitched six solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out three and walked one. His ERA is 3.41 since the big trade.

Brendan Rodgers had a badly needed big day. He went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, a stolen base, two RBI, and two runs scored.
