The Colorado Rockies look to split series with the Padres behind ace Jorge De La Rosa

The Rockies and the Padres conclude their four game series this afternoon in San Diego. After taking the opener on Monday, the Rockies were outscored 5-13 over the next two games. They will look to settle for a series split in today's contest.

On the mound for the Rockies will be Jorge De La Rosa, who is 9-6 on the year with a 4.24 ERA. The King of Coors has put together a better season on the road this year than at home, with a 3.22 ERA away from Denver. De La Rosa is hunting his first win against the Padres this season, having taken the loss in all three of his starts against San Diego.

For the Padres it will be Tyson Ross getting the nod for his third start of the season against the Rockies. Ross is 10-10 on the year with a rotation leading 3.21 ERA and BAA of .243. Though the Rockies have struggled in stringing together hits against the big right-hander, both Nolan Arenado and Corey Dickerson have a homerun off of him this season. Two of the five(!) he has given up in his 29 starts.

Wilin Rosario will catch today's game, his first game behind the dish this season. Rookie Dustin Garneau has the day off since a cervical strain sidelined Nick Hundley on Sunday.
