Jon Gray takes the hill against Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Rockies start a three-game set tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Jon Gray will take the mound for his eighth start of the season. In his last start, he lasted five innings while allowing just two hits while striking out six. He was pulled at 75 pitches and will likely see the same pitch-limit tonight.

Unfortunately, Gray will be battling against Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw's last start against Colorado came on June 1st when allowed just two runs over seven innings while striking out seven. Kershaw is 8-0 with a 0.96 ERA in his last 12 starts.

The Rockies lineup will see the return of Jose Reyes, who's been on the bench the last few games due a strained hamstring. Carlos Gonzalez and Corey Dickerson will be in the starting lineup, despite facing the left-handed Kershaw. Tom Murphy, who was recently called up from Triple-A, will make his second career start.
