2015 Purple Row community stats, leaders, etc.

You did a great job in 2015, Rowbots.

Last year was a huge year for Purple Row. We moved forward with new leadership (again), brought on several talented writers (and also Connor) and continued to provide the best Colorado Rockies-related community experience anywhere on the web.

More people read more articles than ever before as we became more content-driven than we'd been in the past. That's great for the readers, but sometimes that can have a negative effect on comments.

Fortunately, with the help of our great community members, we were able to direct the conversation well enough to draw more than 220,000 comments on the site in 2015. That averages out to almost 604 comments per day and 123 per article. Give yourselves a pat on the back, Rowbots!

Ten of you reigned supreme in the comment threads last year. Take a look at the rankings:

ESterps08 22772
PurpleToPurple 16361
Sjamb 9296
SDcat09 8811
Nephelimdream 8254
Roxman4ever 7978
The Lodo Magic Man 7249
Ducks_RockiesFan 5650
Nick95 5055
Ted Chalfen 4452

That's right: with his own brand of mixing snark, humor and knowledge, ESterps08 is your top commenter from 2015. Congratulate ES (and give him a hard time) next time you see him in the comments.

Meanwhile, the one and only Ozarkbear led the community in non-Party Deck FanPosts (where you can showcase your writing skills, knowledge of the team, love for baseball, and many other things in a spiffy manner), giving us 13 pieces of his own unique content.

It's hard to come up with the right words to convey the appreciation we have for our loyal community members and readers, but hopefully doing stuff like this more often is a good start. In the near future, we'll formally ask you how we can make your experience here better, and throughout 2016, we'll explore other ways to keep our community members involved beyond GM approval polls and PuRPs rankings (both of which are great, but you want more, and we know it!).

Until then, thanks for everything, and here's to a great year.
