The Colorado Rockies traded Corey Dickerson to the Tampa Bay Rays this afternoon for left-handed reliever Jake McGee. The Rox really needed to shed an outfielder, so, that's something, but the return for Dickerson is confusing—and we are by far from the only people who believe that.
Behold, from national baseball writers, media members, and other notable Tweeters (Twitterers?), some instant reactions to the Rockies-Rays deal that went down earlier today:
78% of real-life Rockies trades would be vetoed in dynasty leagues.

With McGee around, I really like the Rockies' chances of protecting the 65-70 leads the rotation and offense generate this year.

With where the Rockies are, trading away a guy *like* Jake McGee would make sense for them as opposed to acquiring him. I just don't know.

The answer is obviously no ... I'm just wondering what the hell the Rockies are doing.

Jake McGee is like "um, thanks guys. Jeez."

With #Rockies unlikely to contend, McGee instantly becomes major candidate to move at the trade deadline.

You're all going to freak about Dickerson's home/road spilts. Reminder: Evidence is that calling Coors home messes w/ you on road, too.

Sighs audibly... well folks, looks like the Rockies are taking it on the chin around baseball once again. What do you think of this trade?
