Rockies’ list of potential managerial candidates continues to grow

Porter in mix for Rockies managerial opening | MLB.com

Former Astros skipper and current special assistant to Angels GM John Coppolella, Bo Porter, has joined the list of potential candidates for the Rockies managerial position. Porter served nearly two years as manager for the Astros during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, over which the club posted a 110-190 record. Porter joins Bud Black, Brad Mills and Ron Roenicke on a list of candidates with major league managerial experience.

In a letter issued to season ticket holders earlier this week, Rockies owner Dick Monfort pledged return investment in fans through “growing our player payroll and providing the best service and ballpark experience in sports.”
