Despite a rough third inning, Rockies starter Chad Bettis made a strong case for the Opening Day starter's role in Monday's win over the Rangers, writes Thomas Harding. Bettis allowed three runs, all in the third inning, on seven hits in his five innings of work against Texas, walking none and striking out three.
