Fresh off their lone off day of spring training, the Colorado Rockies face off against the Seattle Mariners. Taking the mound for the Rockies is Tyler Chatwood, while the Mariners will be sending Taijuan Walker to the mound.
Chatwood has had a solid spring training as he tries to return from his second Tommy John surgery and reclaim his spot in the Rockies' rotation. While the biggest issue for Chatwood has been his health, his performance so far this spring has been reminiscent of his great 2013 season with less than impressive strikeout and walk ratios but making up for it by keeping the ball on the ground and inducing more than his fair share of double plays.
With Opening Day quickly approaching, Tyler Chatwood's sweet batting skills will be on display while the Mariners will continue to use the designated hitter.
