MLB has been ranking all of the farm systems, and they're now in to the top five.Yesterday, they announced that the Rockies came in at four. Jim Callis was very complimentary of the farm from top to bottom, and one thing that especially caught my eye was their 75 rating of Carlos Estevez's fastball.

Carlos Gonzalez hit his first home run of spring on Thursday, and some of that distance may be due to his new, larger arms. He also had to answer to some concerns about how these larger biceps would affect his throws. He says they won't have any adverse effects, and seeing as I wasn't aware of this being a concern before I read this article, I tend to believe him.

The first injury of spring has hit the club, as Chris Rusin won't be able to make his first start of the spring today after all after being scratched with finger inflammation.

In the end, Christian Friedrich landed in SouthernCalifornia, it just took him a couple tries. He signed with the San Diego Padres today. The best of luck to him.
