Carlos Gonzalez somehow managed to remain hot all winter. The hit streak he started last September was extended yesterday with his 2-for-4 outing Friday. It's a career best for Gonzalez, as is his ten game streak to start this season.

This is one of the cooler stories I've read about Jackie Robinson Day yesterday. Lachemann actually had the opportunity to catch Satchel Paige in the mid-60's, which I can only imagine would be an incredible experience. Satchel Paige was listed at 58-years old at that time and he threw three scoreless. That's incredible.
