Former PuRP Eddie Butler struggled early but settled in after a rough first inning for his second consecutive quality start, going six innings with three earned (all in the first). The righty notched two strikeouts and only one walk in his no decision. Jordan Patterson (No. 18 PuRP) went 1-for-3 with two walks and an RBI in the loss. The Rainiers rallied for four runs in the seventh inning to tie the game at seven late before scoring three in the eleventh inning for the win. The Isotopes fall to 5-6 on the season.

Kyle Freeland (No. 8 PuRP) was once again stellar for the Yard Goats, going seven strong innings and allowing only five hits while striking out five. His only run allowed was unearned, lowering his season ERA to 1.50 in the young season. David Dahl (No. 2 PuRP) was 1-for-5 with two runs scored as the Yard Goats improved to 8-3.
High A: Modesto Nuts 6, Stockton Ports 5

Roberto Ramos delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to complete a three-run rally and give the Nuts their most exciting victory of 2016 so far. Dom Nunez (No. 13 PuRP) scored the winning run to cap a 2-for-5 day with an RBI. Ryan Castellani (No. 19 PuRP) had six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings, allowing three earned runs. Modesto improves to 4-6 as they look to break from their slow start.
Low A: Asheville Tourists 12, Rome Braves 5
Bats Belt Tourists to 12-5 Win-Tourists News
David Hill had another strong start for the Tourists, picking up his first decision of the season with five strong innings allowing only one run and striking out five. The 21-year-old Hill earned the coveted status of My Dude for 2016 with the win, previous My Dude winners include Jordan Patterson and Raimel Tapia. Congrats to David. Hill lowered his ERA to 2.12 in the SAL and now has 17 strikeouts in 17 innings of work for this season. Brendan Rodgers (No. 4 PuRP) upped his batting average to .282 with a 2-for-3 day, adding two walks as the Tourists slow offense exploded behind Rodgers, Sam Hilliard, and Jonathan Piron. The Tourists improved to 3-8 on the season.
