Colorado Rockies prospects, 4/20: Jordan Patterson, Brendan Rodgers homer in Tuesday's action

In Tuesday's action on the farm, Jordan Patterson blasted a grand slam, and 2015 top draft pick Brendan Rodgers had his first multi-homer game of his young career.

Jordan Patterson and Brendan Rodgers each produced four RBIs to lead all Rockies prospects in Tuesday’s action. Patterson, the No. 18 Purple Row Prospect (PuRP), capped a five-run first inning for Albuquerque with a grand slam off the foul pole with his first home run of the season and extending his hitting streak to 10 games. The Isotopes jumped out to eight early runs in the first two innings and cruised to victory despite an off night from starter Jeff Hoffman, who needed 84 pitches to get through 3 innings of work.

Rodgers, the No. 4 PuRP and third overall draft pick in 2015, hit two home runs in Asheville’s loss. This was his first multi-home run game of his career, and his third and fourth homers of the season. The Tourists committed four errors in the game, including one from Rodgers, leading to five unearned runs and the difference in the game.
