Following up a 10-5 win in yesterday's season opener, the Colorado Rockies will look to take the initial series of 2016 tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Right-hander Chad Bettis is on the mound tonight for Colorado, the 26-year-old started 20 games for the Rockies last season, posting a 4.23 ERA and 1.41 WHIP, walking 42 and striking out 98 in 115 innings. His final start of 2015 came at Chase Field on September 30 and saw him allow two runs, one earned, on six hits in six innings, walking three and striking out six in a 3-1 Rockies loss.

Bettis will face a similar Diamondbacks lineup to the one that faced Jorge De La Rosa yesterday with the lone change being lefty Socrates Brito playing center field and batting second in place of Chris Owings.

Taking the ball for Arizona is newly-acquired right-hander Shelby Miller. Miller came to Arizona from the Braves in a trade that cost the Diamondbacks 2015 top overall pick Dansby Swanson as well as pitching prospect Aaron Blair and outfielder Ender Inciarte.

The high price for Miller comes on the back of a 2015 season that saw him post a 3.02 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 33 starts for Atlanta in which he walked 73 and struck out 171 in 205⅓ innings. However, Miller struggled against the Rockies last year, allowing nine runs on 20 hits in 11⅔ innings in his two starts against them.

The Rockies also made just one change to their lineup today with Ben Paulsen at first base for Mark Reynolds. Paulsen will bat seventh in the order with catcher Nick Hundley bumping up one spot to sixth.

First pitch tonight at Chase Field is at 7:40 p.m. Mountain time.
