Let's use this post to discuss the tournament. A full schedule of games is available here. The games below remain the most pertinent to Rockies fans.
The 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament bracket is out now and Colorado Rockies fans can set their schedules to watch a handful of players the team could select at No. 4 overall on June 9 during the MLB draft. It begins at the top with the top overall seed Florida Gators facing Bethune-Cookman on Friday at 4 p.m. MT on the SEC Network. Florida left-handed pitcher A.J. Puk might be available when the Rockies pick at No. 4 and will pitch during this regional, which also features Georgia Tech and UConn. Florida outfielder Buddy Reed and starting pitcher Logan Shore are also worth following.
The Louisville Cardinals are the No. 2 overall seed and feature outfielder Corey Ray, who is battling Mercer outfielder Kyle Lewis to be the first college position player to be selected. Louisville hosts Western Michigan at 4 p.m. on Friday to open its tournament play. This game will stream on ESPN3. Ohio State and Wright State are the other teams in the Louisville regional.
If the Rockies go for a college pitcher and A.J. Puk is already off the board, Mississippi State's right-handed pitcher Dakota Hudson could be the selection. He and the Bulldogs kick things off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday against Southeast Missouri State on ESPN3. Cal State Fullerton and Louisiana Tech are the other teams in the Starkville regional.
Catcher Zack Collins and the Miami Hurricanes start with Stetson on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. This game can also be seen on ESPN3. Florida Atlantic and Long Beach State are also in Coral Gables.
