Colorado Rockies Prospects: Ryan McMahon sparks offensive explosion in Hartford

Two of the three top position prospects in the organization had stellar days at the plate on Tuesday.

Ryan McMahon lashed out three hits for the Hartford Yard Goats in their 11-3 win against the Binghamton Mets. He had a double, a home run, and four RBI at the plate, helping to recover from a tough first half. McMahon told MiLB.com two weeks ago that he was trying to get back to his original swing after tinkering a bit too much this year, leading to the rough start.

Pat Valaika also had three hits for Double-A Hartford as he continues a solid year with the Yard Goats. All three of his hits were doubles, a great sign as he starts to build back to where he started the year after slumping in recent games.

David Dahl produced three hits, including one double, for the Triple-A Isotopes in their loss. In two games and ten at-bats, Dahl has six hits, including a home run and a double. He's looking major league-ready more and more each day.
