ZiPS projects pitching staff to lead the Rockies once again in 2018

The team’s 2018 projections also include a bit of a surprise for a top prospect.

2018 ZiPS Projections – Colorado Rockies | FanGraphs Baseball
The Rockies are one of the first teams to have their 2018 ZiPS projections released this winter. ZiPS projects both Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon to once again be All-Star caliber players and the pitching staff to be the team's strong point in 2018, as it was in 2017.

Also of note is the fact that ZiPS projects top prospect Brendan Rodgers as a 1 WAR player in 2018, while acknowledging that he will almost certainly not be on the Opening Day roster. However, these projections should be taken with a grain of salt, as they do not take into account the additions or subtractions made by the Rockies over the course of the offseason.
