Next week pitchers and catchers report to spring training, but we are still weeks away from our first actual spring games, and almost two months away from our first regular season games. That’s a long time to wait.
And so, inspired by (what I’m told was) a very entertaining Super Bowl last weekend, I want to know:
What was the best baseball game you ever attended in person?
I’m sure for most of us these will be Rockies games, but they don’t have to be. Heck, they don’t even have to be games in which the team you were rooting for won. “Best” is a completely subjective term here. It could be a playoff or World Series game, it could be an All-Star Game, it could be a spring training game. It could be the game you had the most fun, the one where your rooting interest thoroughly demolished the competition, the most competitive game, or one that holds personal significance to you.
Once you have a game, write up a FanPost! Rather than give a generic recap, tell the story of your experience at the game, from taking your seat to walking out of the stadium. For example, I’m also sure plenty of us will be tempted to pick one of the most memorable nights in Rockies history. But since most of us here know what happened at that game, tell us the story!
We’ll collect all the FanPosts in a recap next Friday, and we’ll try to highlight some of the best ones.
