Fresh off of yesterday’s off-day the Colorado Rockies face off against the Cleveland Indians at 2:10 pm MDT. Kyle Freeland takes the mound for the Rockies as he continues to fight for a spot in the Rockies rotation. Danny Salazar is the scheduled starter for the Indians.
Today marks the return of Carlos Gonzalez to Cactus League action. After Venezuela was knocked out of the World Baseball Class, Gonzalez returned to the Rockies spring training camp Monday and will make his first appearance today. Gonzalez hit .308 in seven games in the WBC and will hopefully be able to leverage those early competitive games into a hot start when the regular season starts.
Today’s game will be broadcast on both the Rockies radio and TV affiliates. The radio broadcast will be on KDSP 760 in the Denver area and also on MLB Gameday Audio. Root Sports RM will be broadcasting their second game of the spring and the feed will also be available on MLB.TV for those not in the Rockies market.
