The two best teams in the National League meet tonight at Coors Field as the Colorado Rockies open a four-game series against the Washington Nationals.
Tyler Anderson is looking to get back on track after a rough start to 2017, and will get a chance to do so against a Nationals lineup missing their best player in Bryce Harper. Adam Eaton, whom the Nationals acquired in a trade with the White Sox in December, slides from center field to Harper's spot in right field, with Michael A. Taylor getting the start in center.
Anderson has not made it through six innings in any of his first four starts this season, and has posted a 7.32 ERA and 1.58 WHIP, but gave up just two earned runs on six hits in his last start in Los Angeles, and looked like a player getting back to the form he showed in 2016.
The Rockies, meanwhile, will use the same lineup as in yesterday's 8-0 win over the Giants against Nationals starter Jacob Turner.
Turner will make his 2017 debut tonight filling in for Stephen Strasburg, who is on paternity leave. Turner made two starts with the White Sox last year, allowing 12 runs in 7 1/3 innings, posting a 6.57 ERA overall in 24 2/3 innings of work.
