Colorado Rockies prospects: Pat Valaika hits for the cycle

New, 3 comments

Rockies prospect report and box scores for games on April 8.

Pat Valaika is one of those guys who doesn’t stand out as a prospect, but who is well positioned to play a significant role in in the major leagues. If either Cristhian Adames or Alexi Amarista had options left, he probably would have made the major league team out of spring. As it is, he’s playing for the Isotopes. He had a pretty good night last night. Valaika hit for the cycle in a 4-for-5 and drove in seven runs along the way. It all contributed to the Isotopes’ 12-5 win.
