Fresh off a 5-1 win over the Twins in the opener of Wednesday's doubleheader, the Rockies will look to sweep both the twin-bill and the series against Minnesota tonight.
Tyler Chatwood is on the mound for the Rockies tonight, looking to bounce back after his shortest outing of 2017 in his last start in which he allowed five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings. This will be the first time Chatwood has faced the Twins since his rookie year with the Angels in 2011.
The Rockies will be facing Twins youngster Jose Berrios. The 22-year-old was roughed up in his debut last season, posting an 8.02 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 6.20 FIP in 58 1/3 innings. His first big league start of 2017 was a success, however, as he allowed just one run on two hits in 7 2/3 innings against the Indians.
After a few days on the bench for the Rockies after being recalled in place of the injured Trevor Story, Raimel Tapia gets a start tonight, playing left field and batting seventh.
