Forrest Wall’s second season in the California League is off to a bit of a better start than his first. Wall is up to a .299 batting average after a 2-for-4 performance in Lancaster’s 4-3 win on Monday night.
Wall hit a solo home run to lead off a three run seventh inning for the JetHawks, his third of the season, and continues to show an improvement at the plate in his repeat High-A year.
Wall’s prospect shine wore off after a rough 2016 but the Rockies moving him to center field and around the infield to make sure he gets ABs shows they still believe in the 21-year-old as a future contributor.
Lancaster was also aided by a Brian Mundell home run and a two run single from Wes Rogers to give them a second straight one run victory. The JetHawks improved to 12-13 with the win.
