There is little debate who the best position player is in baseball, Mike Trout. Unfortunately for Charlie Blackmon, he plays the same position as Trout so it's hard to lay claim to to the title of best center fielder in baseball despite some amazing numbers this year. However, Mike Trout is now on the DL, so for the next few weeks Blackmon can be the best active center fielder.

Charlie Blackmon began a stretch of what should be multiple awards being announced over the next month or so. He won player of the week for the last full week of May, and should be considered a favorite to win player of the month for May as well as earn a starting nod in this summer's All-Star game unless the stupid Cubs fans decided to mess everything up.

Trevor Story is finally looking like the batter that took the league by storm last season. His overall season numbers are still ugly, but if you look at the numbers since his return from the DL, the picture is much better. Since his return, Story is batting .304/.407/.696 with almost as many walks as strikeouts.
