The Rockies lost their third game in a row last night tying for their longest losing streak of 2017. They look to keep that their season record with a win tonight behind German Marquez.
The good news is that the search and rescue party for Raimel Tapia that I called for this morning was successful and he’s in tonight’s lineup. Carlos Gonzalez gets the night off to hopefully help him get his timing right.
German Marquez looks to bounce back after a rough start out in his last outing against the Chicago Cubs. He was victim of a horrible strike zone that compounded the smallest mistakes but he didn’t manage to avoid damage and give the Rockies a chance to win, which they took advantage of.
Chad Kuhl has had a tough season though his last few outings were more promising for the Pirates. The Rockies need to take advantage of this opportunity to get back on a winning track.
