Rockies prospects: Yard Goats tally lone win for Colorado affiliates on Sunday

Shane Broyles has slotted perfectly into the Yard Goats closer role after the promotion of James Farris to AAA Albuquerque. Broyles notched a five out save last night, four of those outs coming via the strikeout, to earn his fifth save of the season.

The Goats 6-4 victory over New Hampshire was the lone victory for the Rockies affiliates last night. The win gets the Goats to within one win of a .500 record, a monumental feat after the abysmal start to the year the club had. The Goats are 19-11 over their last 30 days after an 8-17 start.

Parker French picked up his fifth win of the season, throwing six strong innings giving up three earned runs on four hits. French was aided by two big solo home runs in the fifth inning from Ashley Graeter and Drew Weeks. Weeks now leads current Goats players in RBI with 29.
