FanPost Friday: Five Predictions for the second half

What do you think is going to happen in the REST of the 2017 Rockies season?

The Rockies are in third place in the National League West. Before the season, many of you would have predicted something similar. However, not as many would have predicted the Diamondbacks, not the Giants, were the team between the Rockies and the Dodgers. You also probably wouldn’t have guessed the Rockies would be 52-39 and holding the third best record in the National League heading into the second half. Baseball giveth, Baseball taketh away, blessed be the name of Baseball.

Back before the season started, we asked you to give us your five Rockies predictions for the season. So far some of you are doing really well; others aren’t doing so well. We thought we’d give everyone an opportunity for redemption.

What are your five predictions for the rest of the Colorado Rockies 2017 season?

Be as bold or as timid as you like, but know that part of the rules of predictions is that we all make fun of ourselves in October when we’re inevitably trying to explain what just happened.

All you need to do is make five predictions for the Rockies for the last two and a half months in 2017. The more specific you are the more fun it is, but you can be vague if you prefer to try to be right (again, see above). As long as you have five Rockies specific predictions for the 2017 season, you can write up as many other predictions for the 2017 MLB season as you like.

Will the Rockies storm back and take the division? Will Nolan Arenado take the MVP? Will the Brewers win the World Series? Let us know.

Write up a FanPost with your predictions and be sure to back them up a little bit, too. And include “FPF” in the title. Next week, on the final Friday before the regular season, we’ll round up all the predictions in our weekly FPF recap.

5centRocky already wrote up some predictions (thanks for the inspiration!), but you can get in on the fun as well.

If you never used our FanPost editor, check out this handy guide. If you’re unsure what it takes to make a good FanPost, we have tips for that as well. We’ll push a few to the front page and we’ll be sure to collect all the responses in next week’s recap. Make sure you find the green REC button at the bottom of the FanPosts and smash it if you think more people should read it.
